Throughout my career, I have sought to integrate professional practice, academic research, and university teaching. Whether working in the banking sector, conducting research, or teaching students, my objective has remained consistent: to better understand how financial systems function, how risks emerge, and how institutions can become more resilient in an environment characterized by uncertainty and continual change.
Before entering academia, I spent more than twenty-five years in banking and financial services. My professional experience includes international banking, cross-border operations, trade finance, international bank guarantees, foreign branches and subsidiaries, and strategic development of banking institutions. This experience continues to shape my academic research and teaching by connecting theoretical inquiry with practical challenges faced by financial institutions and regulators.
My academic and professional activities have been recognized through teaching awards, competitive research grants, professional acknowledgments, and institutional distinctions. These recognitions reflect sustained contributions to research, university teaching, curriculum development, and the supervision of undergraduate and graduate research across multiple academic programs.
Since 2026, I have contributed to the evaluation, validation, and improvement of advanced AI systems for economic, financial, and analytical reasoning. My work includes model evaluation across macroeconomics, finance, banking, monetary policy, financial regulation, and risk management, supporting the development of more reliable analytical systems. This work complements my broader research and teaching interests at the intersection of finance, banking, and financial regulation.
